Digital Accessibility Organizational Mission Statement
Purpose
The purpose of the Accessibility Mission Statement is to provide guidance regarding the provision of digital services by Glamzo Pharmaceutical Laboratory to its internal team members, clients, partners, members of the public, and third parties for people with different abilities. As a purpose-driven, leading pharmaceutical solutions organization centered on improving the health of people and animals around the world, we recognize the role and importance of web accessibility to further empower this mission. Increasing web accessibility, as defined by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), also supports innovation, growth, and efficiency. To advance our corporate inclusion goals, improve usability, and increase market reach, we have defined the goals communicated in this statement.
Commitment
Glamzo Pharmaceutical Laboratory is committed to providing a web
experience that is accessible to a diverse audience, with the
intention of providing equitable access for a range of abilities. We
endeavor to create digital accessibility not only within our site,
but also with how we engage with internal team members, partners,
stakeholders, and patients. This commitment requires investment, and
a thoughtful process aimed to mirror the communities in which we
collaborate and serve.
We are committed to conforming to WCAG 2.1, Level AA and will update our
practices as WCAG conformance criteria evolve over time. We welcome
feedback and recognize that continuous listening is essential for
strengthening inclusion and modernizing our processes. To that end,
we encourage reporting accessibility issues through our Accessibility Feedback Form.
We are committed to a continuous process that starts with awareness
and understanding how each of our individual roles contributes to
our commitment.
The next step of our commitment is U.S. focused, with room to expand
into a global perspective. While the WCAG was developed through the
W3C process in cooperation with individuals
and organizations around the world, with a goal of providing a
single shared standard for web content accessibility that meets the
needs of individuals, organizations, and governments
internationally, we are currently assessing how best to scale our
commitment to accessibility beyond the U.S. As a global,
multicultural, and multilingual organization, we acknowledge that we
will need a strategic approach that meets region-specific goals and
standards.
Embracing the cultural diversity that comes from operating as a
global organization, we have identified the following resources
intended to help develop a regional perspective, including existing
policies, and other relevant laws and legislation organized by
country/region. We encourage all internal stakeholders to review
these resources as we advance our accessibility practices.
Looking forward
Our efforts include appointing a Digital Accessibility Subject Matter Expert within a centralized team who will help steward our efforts as we mature our digital accessibility practice as an organization. This includes planning how to take measured steps towards expanding accessibility practices across multiple points of engagement, for internal and external practices.
Approach toward emerging technologies
As we operate within the realm of innovation on a global scale, with technology evolving at a rapid rate, we want to be intentional about usage and analyze how new technologies might be leveraged to benefit accessibility in the broader context of ability inclusion.
Third-party content
Some of our sites may link to third-party content hosted on external websites. This third-party content may or may not meet WCAG standards for accessibility to individuals with different abilities. We're currently exploring those limitations to identify better alternatives.
